Travels in Jogjakarta: For Art’s Sake

Jogjakarta is awash in Street Art; here are some of my favorites, and the places we saw them.

At the Sonobudoyo Museum, there was quite the artwork on one of the buildings, and even this one on a trash can:

Maliboro street art:

Prawirotaman street art:

Kotagede Street Art:

We also saw some beautiful bonsai trees at different sites and locations, here are a few:

This is the last post from Jogjakarta, we had such a fun time exploring the neighborhoods and the tiny streets, and visiting both Borobudur and Prambanan were highlights of the trip so far. We left Jogjakarta via the same way we arrived, the train. At the train station there is an old train car, and some more colorful bougainvillea.

Jessica picked up some snack cakes at the train station, and then we were off to our last stop on Java, the capital of Indonesia, Jakarta!
