Florence for Art’s sake

My favorite part of Florence was simply walking around, taking in all the cool artwork built onto buildings, paintings encased in cloudy glass, street art, doorknockers, candleholders, scupltures everywhere, even in places one would not suspect. There is such a variety of art it is hard not to take pictures of it all. I know I missed so much of by not looking for it, worrying about not getting hit by the overly aggressive taxis, Vespas, and massive buses, or worrying about trying to pass other tourists on the narrow streets, or caught up in my own thoughts. Here are just a few of the artistic creations that caught my eye and I could take a picture of, for me to share with you, and for me to remember.
